The first issue of Disco Pogo immediately set out our stall. As well as celebrating the rich history of leftfield electronic music, we wanted to highlight the very best of what was fresh and new. Most importantly, we wanted to connect the two.

Gilles Peterson spoke about how he was still living the dream as he reflected upon a life in music. This was no nostalgia-tinged chat mind, his eyes were firmly fixed on the present and future.
