Disco Pogo
Issue 4 / Chemical Brothers
“What’s worse than someone telling you to have a good time? It’s so easy to shout: ‘Put your hands in the air.’ It doesn’t feel like it’s in us to do that.”
Tom Rowlands
Fourth issue cover stars are old friends The Chemical Brothers and new friend Romy.
Our relationship with Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons goes waaay back. Before they were The Chemical Brothers and before we started Jockey Slut, we used to queue up with them to go to The Haçienda. Putting them on the cover of our new magazine for the release of their tenth album ‘For That Beautiful Feeling’ was a no-brainer.
Issue 4 also features:
- Romy speaks to us about the big things and the little things
- Pet Shop Boys: Erol Alkan, The Blessed Madonna, Michael Mayer and more celebrate PSB’s dancefloor adventures
- S’Express, Coldcut and Betty Boo recall when dance music hijacked the charts
- When Chicago house ruled the 90s dancefloors
- Adrian Sherwood reminiscing about hanging out with Neneh Cherry and Ari Up…
-
Skream gets sentimental
Plus… Sofia Kourtesis, James Ford, DJ Paulette, Alex Kassian, Say She She, Mr Scruff, Jon Carter… and loads more across 200 pages.
The print edition of both covers of this issue are now sold out.
Issue 4 now available as a PDF digital download.
